Sky launches Essential TV: a new, low-cost way to watch

The same great TV at an exciting new price.

Sky have launched a brand new TV pack, aimed at providing the same great entertainment at an even lower price point. Sky Essential TV - available from 4th December 2024 - gives new customers access to award-winning shows from Sky, Netflix and Discovery+ for as little as £15 per month.

At the base level, Sky Essential TV gives you access to over 100 channels, including the freeview channels and Sky Atlantic, as well as subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+ at no extra cost. That’s over 30,000 shows to get stuck into, such as critically-acclaimed dramas like The Penguin and The Day of the Jackal, megahits like Bridgerton and Stranger Things, and addictive reality TV like 90 Day Fiancé UK.

And if you already have Netflix, don’t worry - you can easily switch over your existing account, so you won’t lose your watchlist or recommendations.

If that’s not enough, customers also have the option to upgrade to Sky Ultimate TV for an extra £7 per month, which unlocks the whole range of Sky’s excellent entertainment with channels like Sky Max and Sky Witness.

How to get Sky Essential TV

Sky Essential TV is currently available for £15 per month on a 24-month contract, or £18 on a 31-day rolling contract. This new pack provides some great content at a very attractive price, and offers customers even more flexibility in building the bundle that’s right for them.

However, it’s worth bearing in mind that Essential TV is only available with Sky Stream or Sky Glass, and only to new customers.
